Front Sway Bar Disconnects
Initially installed just the front sway disconnects, these were much easier then I'd originally thought they would be. Would definitely do the rears next.
Highlights
- Installation for Front Sway Bar disconnect links from JKS.
- I didn't have any ball joint type connections on my existing links, not sure if that's factory or if at some point a previous owner replaced these links. most instructions showed a ball type joint at the top.
- Removal was super straight forward.
- I did not lift or jackup the vehicle, with a 4" lift its easy to get to everything and you do not need to release any sort of "tension" on the sway bar.
- I did not take off the tire. It was easy to get to everything from the front as shown in the pictures
Parts/Tools
- PA Peformance 160AJKS Quicker Disconnect End Links. We needed model 2001 as we have a 4" lift. Make sure to buy the right set for your lift.
- Ideally you'll have one of these degree measurment tools, AccuMASTER, but if you dont and don't want to buy one (~$25) you can roughly estimate the angle. Just go slightly higher then level on the sway bar, it'll be close enough I think.
- Drill Bit Size "F"
- Tap and Die set to thread hole in frame after you drill it
